R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Paolo Martinez has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
|
an aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during the |
|
|
87th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Martinez has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An alumnus of Kinder High School for the Performing |
|
|
and Visual Arts in Houston, Mr. Martinez attended The University of |
|
|
Texas at San Antonio before transferring to UT Austin, where he is |
|
|
currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in government; active in his |
|
|
community, he volunteered with a local political campaign, |
|
|
cofounded Houston Youth Activists, and participated in AmeriCorps; |
|
|
moreover, he has served as a youth program lead and volunteer |
|
|
manager for the Houston branch of the American Red Cross; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Paolo Martinez for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
