R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, J. E. DeArmond retired as sheriff of Moore County on
  December 31, 2020, drawing to a close a remarkable career in public
  service that has spanned 42 years; and
         WHEREAS, "Bo" DeArmond served with the Moore County Sheriff's
  Office for more than three decades, including 16 years as sheriff; a
  leader in his community, he is the longest-serving sheriff in the
  county's history, and he has earned the respect and admiration of
  both his fellow citizens and public officials for his dedication,
  integrity, and professionalism; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Sheriff DeArmond has enjoyed
  the love and support of his wife, Terry; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure in law enforcement, Bo
  DeArmond has exemplified the highest ideals of his profession, and
  he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he
  embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate J. E. DeArmond on his retirement as
  sheriff of Moore County and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Sheriff DeArmond as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
