R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, J. E. DeArmond retired as sheriff of Moore County on |
|
|
December 31, 2020, drawing to a close a remarkable career in public |
|
|
service that has spanned 42 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Bo" DeArmond served with the Moore County Sheriff's |
|
|
Office for more than three decades, including 16 years as sheriff; a |
|
|
leader in his community, he is the longest-serving sheriff in the |
|
|
county's history, and he has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
|
both his fellow citizens and public officials for his dedication, |
|
|
integrity, and professionalism; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Sheriff DeArmond has enjoyed |
|
|
the love and support of his wife, Terry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure in law enforcement, Bo |
|
|
DeArmond has exemplified the highest ideals of his profession, and |
|
|
he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he |
|
|
embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. E. DeArmond on his retirement as |
|
|
sheriff of Moore County and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Sheriff DeArmond as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
