R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Chris Fletcher was sworn in as the 22nd mayor of
  Burleson on November 17, 2020; and
         WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mayor
  Fletcher will draw on a wealth of valuable experience; he was raised
  on a farm in Haskell County and learned the value of hard work at an
  early age; he began his career in 1970 at Texas Instruments in
  Lubbock, working in process improvement, and he went on to
  establish his own business, Texas Overhead Door, in 1986; by the
  time he sold it in 2019, he had expanded the enterprise to four
  states; he continues to serve as a manufacturing consultant; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Burleson, Mr. Fletcher has
  contributed to his community as a board member for the Burleson Area
  Chamber of Commerce and Your Harvest House, and he has been a deacon
  at Burleson Church of Christ for 20 years; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Fletcher enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Nancy, with whom he has shared 41 years;
  they have been blessed with two children and a two-year-old
  granddaughter; and
         WHEREAS, The effective operation of government depends on the
  able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, and Chris
  Fletcher may indeed take pride in his accomplishments as he takes on
  this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Fletcher on his election as
  mayor of Burleson and extend to him sincere best wishes for a
  successful tenure; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mayor Fletcher as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
