R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Students from Merriman Park Elementary School in |
|
|
Dallas have achieved great distinction by qualifying for the |
|
|
Destination Imagination Global Finals 2021; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Destination Imagination is an international |
|
|
competition for kindergarten through 12th grade and university |
|
|
students in which teams work to solve science, technology, |
|
|
engineering, arts, and math challenges; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Merriman Park Elementary team, the Solar System |
|
|
Bosses, is made up of a group of third-graders; these enterprising |
|
|
students finished second in their division, thereby qualifying for |
|
|
the virtual Global Finals contest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their talent, hard work, and commitment to |
|
|
excellence, the Merriman Park Solar System Bosses have brought |
|
|
great pride to their school and their community, and they are indeed |
|
|
deserving of recognition for their accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Merriman Park Elementary |
|
|
School Solar System Bosses on qualifying for the Destination |
|
|
Imagination Global Finals 2021 and extend to all those associated |
|
|
with the team sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Solar System Bosses as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
