R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The COVID-19 health crisis has tragically affected |
|
|
the lives of many residents of House District 145 in Harris County; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although it has imposed immense burdens upon our |
|
|
communities, none have known the true toll of the pandemic more than |
|
|
those who have mourned the passing of a family member to COVID-19; |
|
|
even as nurses, physicians, and other health care workers have gone |
|
|
to heroic lengths to save patients, the disease has caused great |
|
|
suffering in the community and left behind far too many bereaved |
|
|
families; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texans who perished from COVID-19 have included |
|
|
fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, grandparents and |
|
|
great-grandparents, children, and friends, whose deaths have left a |
|
|
tremendous void in the lives of countless people; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Though gone from us now, these individuals will |
|
|
never be forgotten, and it is fitting that we honor their memories |
|
|
as we express our sympathy toward those who are rebuilding their |
|
|
lives in the absence of their loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to those residents of House |
|
|
District 145 who died of COVID-19 and extend heartfelt condolences |
|
|
to their surviving families and friends. |
