R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, National Nurses Week took place from May 6 to 12, |
|
|
2021, offering a welcome opportunity to pay tribute to the nursing |
|
|
professionals who serve House District 134; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, National Nurses Week celebrates the vital role that |
|
|
registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, |
|
|
and other nursing personnel play in the delivery of health care in |
|
|
our communities; with their services in demand 24 hours a day, 7 |
|
|
days a week, these individuals stand ready to ensure that every |
|
|
patient receives the highest quality of medical care; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted |
|
|
the indispensable contributions made by our health care |
|
|
professionals, including the nurses who have been on the front |
|
|
lines tending to the most severely ill patients; through their |
|
|
perseverance in the face of stress and adversity, they have emerged |
|
|
as heroes during an immensely challenging time for our nation and |
|
|
helped countless patients survive and recover from the disease; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Now more than ever, nurses are deserving of our |
|
|
appreciation, our respect, and our support, and National Nurses |
|
|
Week is an ideal time to recognize the members of this noble |
|
|
profession who make our community their home; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend the nurses who serve House District 134 |
|
|
for their inspiring dedication to their work and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future. |
