R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jackson Turner of Llano High School has achieved |
|
|
notable success in the 2021 University Interscholastic League |
|
|
Academic State Meet, held from April 30 to May 1; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against some of the brightest students in |
|
|
the Lone Star State, Mr. Turner won a gold medal for his strong |
|
|
performance in the 3A social studies contest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his hard work and commitment to excellence, |
|
|
Jackson Turner has distinguished himself in the state's premier |
|
|
high school academic competition, and his accomplishments are a |
|
|
source of great pride to his school and community; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jackson Turner on his first-place |
|
|
finish in social studies at the 2021 UIL Academic State Meet and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Turner as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
