R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rese Schoonover of Stratford High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by winning two medals at the 2021 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Closing out her final season of high school |
|
|
competition, Ms. Schoonover joined the other top athletes in Texas |
|
|
at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 7; she turned in an |
|
|
outstanding performance, capturing silver medals in the 100-meter |
|
|
and 300-meter hurdles with times of 15.12 seconds and 45.62 |
|
|
seconds, respectively; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Rese Schoonover has ably |
|
|
represented her school and community, and she will cherish her |
|
|
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rese Schoonover on winning silver |
|
|
medals in the 2A 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the 2021 UIL |
|
|
Track & Field State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Schoonover as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
