R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
WHEREAS, Mariel Almazan has been named valedictorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2021 at YES Prep Gulfton, and she indeed merits special |
|
|
recognition for receiving this significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Almazan demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following graduation, Ms. Almazan plans to attend |
|
|
Rice University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mariel Almazan has earned the respect and admiration |
|
|
of her teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic |
|
|
ability and commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright |
|
|
and promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mariel Almazan on graduating as |
|
|
valedictorian of the Class of 2021 at YES Prep Gulfton and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life. |
