R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ben DeLoit of The John Cooper School in The |
|
|
Woodlands has been admitted to the U.S. Military Academy at West |
|
|
Point; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Known for its strict standards and adherence to |
|
|
tradition, the Military Academy has developed a prestigious |
|
|
reputation since its founding in 1802; to be accepted to West Point, |
|
|
a candidate must complete a rigorous admissions process and be |
|
|
nominated by designated officers or organizations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of The John Cooper School Class of 2021, |
|
|
Mr. DeLoit plans to study systems engineering and play sprint |
|
|
football while at West Point; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With his acceptance to the Military Academy at West |
|
|
Point, Ben DeLoit may look forward to myriad exciting challenges |
|
|
and opportunities, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for |
|
|
his exemplary achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ben DeLoit on his admission to the |
|
|
U.S. Military Academy at West Point and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. DeLoit as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
