R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious |
|
natural resource, and the Marlin Independent School District has |
|
demonstrated a deep commitment to educating area youth; and |
|
WHEREAS, The district draws enrollment from a diverse |
|
community within a five-square-mile area; nearly 150 employees |
|
serve more than 800 students at Marlin Elementary, Marlin Middle, |
|
and Marlin High Schools; faculty and staff strive to foster a safe, |
|
nurturing environment for learning; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since 2020, Dr. Darryl J. Henson has led the |
|
district as superintendent; he is assisted by an executive cabinet |
|
that includes Lawrence Galloway, chief operating officer, |
|
Dr. Stacy Parker, executive director of academics and student |
|
services, Adam LeJeune, director of technology, and Jesse |
|
Bustamante, director of human resources and special education; and |
|
WHEREAS, The district's board of managers includes president |
|
Billy Johnson, vice president Danny Vickers, and secretary Byrleen |
|
Terry; and |
|
WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing |
|
vitality of our state, and the administration, faculty, and staff |
|
of the Marlin Independent School District work tirelessly to help |
|
students reach their full potential as responsible, productive, and |
|
ethical members of a changing society; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor the Marlin Independent School District for |
|
its service to the community and extend sincere best wishes for the |
|
future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the district as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
