R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Russell Mark Taylor, who passed away on May 11, 2021, at the age
  of 80; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Margie Constance Bullock and Hugh
  Wilmette Taylor, Russell Taylor was born in Bloomington, Illinois,
  on June 4, 1940; he worked briefly in banking before embarking on a
  noteworthy career in the insurance industry that spanned more than
  six decades; an underwriter, educator, and consultant as well as an
  agent, he was employed by The Hartford and a number of other
  prominent companies before establishing his own consultancy, Risk
  Management Tactix, in 1991; he greatly enjoyed his profession and
  served as a director of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas
  and as president of the Houston chapter, among a host of other
  leadership roles; his numerous accolades included the IIAT
  Outstanding Chairman Award; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Taylor shared a fulfilling relationship of over
  56 years with his wife, Gloria Lessner Taylor, and he took great
  pride in his daughter, Jill, and his granddaughter, Erin; he was
  also a loving brother to his siblings, Daniel and Patricia; over the
  years, he rescued many cats, who adored him; and
         WHEREAS, Sustained through all of life's challenges by a deep
  and abiding faith, Mr. Taylor was always ready to offer hope and
  comfort to others with a kind smile, wise words, or a Biblical
  reference; he was a valued member of The Woodlands Bible Church,
  where he served as an elder; and
         WHEREAS, Russell Taylor embraced life to the fullest, and his
  warmth, generosity, and optimism encouraged others to do the same;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Russell Mark Taylor
  and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Russell
  Taylor.
