R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |
|
|
memories of Norman Neal Hahn of Pleasanton, who died on |
|
|
September 3, 2020, at the age of 88; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of John and Hazel Hahn, Norman Hahn was born |
|
|
on January 6, 1932, and he grew up with three siblings, John, Clyde, |
|
|
and Katherine; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Hahn served |
|
|
proudly in the U.S. Army; in civilian life, he began his career |
|
|
working as a roustabout for Mobile Oil in Talco, and in 1989, he |
|
|
retired from ExxonMobil after 40 years as an electrical foreman in |
|
|
Pleasanton; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hahn shared a loving union with his wife, the |
|
|
former Betty Jo Belcher, who preceded him in death; he took great |
|
|
pride in their two daughters, Deborah and Rebecca, and two |
|
|
grandchildren, Neal and Lauren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed |
|
|
man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|
|
tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Norman Neal Hahn and |
|
|
extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Norman |
|
|
Hahn. |
