R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Roberto G. Rodriguez of |
|
|
Rio Grande City were deeply saddened by his passing on August 2, |
|
|
2020, at the age of 78; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Rio Grande City on December 15, 1941, Bobby |
|
|
Rodriguez was the son of Valentin and Severina Rodriguez, and he |
|
|
grew up with the companionship of his 10 siblings, Celinda, |
|
|
Cecilio, Octavio, Alvaro, Alonso, Eduardo, Gregorio, Roel, Nilda, |
|
|
and Raquel; answering his nation's call to duty, he joined the |
|
|
United States Army and served during the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Rodriguez was the proud father of four children, |
|
|
David, Michelle, Roberto, and Ricardo, and with the passing years, |
|
|
he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include numerous |
|
|
grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bobby Rodriguez lived a full and generous life |
|
|
surrounded by those he loved, and they will forever carry him close |
|
|
in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Roberto G. |
|
|
Rodriguez and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his |
|
|
passing; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Roberto |
|
|
Rodriguez. |
