A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the timely processing of certain requests relating to |
|
|
the employment of a person released on parole or to mandatory |
|
|
supervision. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 508, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 508.1145 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 508.1145. PROCESSING OF REQUEST RELATING TO RELEASEE |
|
|
EMPLOYMENT. To the extent practicable, a parole officer shall |
|
|
complete the processing of a request relating to a releasee's |
|
|
employment, including all necessary paperwork, not later than the |
|
|
third business day after the date the officer receives the request. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
