A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
relating to the requirements of entities that receive state funds |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
Sec. 772.602. DEFINITIONS. In this subchapter: |
|
(1)"9-1-1 region" means the portion of a state planning |
|
region established under Chapter 391, Local Government Code, |
|
composed of counties and municipalities that on September 1, 2015, |
|
exclusively received 9-1-1 system services provided by a 9-1-1 |
|
system operated through a regional planning commission. |
|
(2) "Board" means the board of managers of a district. |
|
(3) "District" means a regional emergency |
|
communication district created under this subchapter. |
|
(4) "Regional planning commission" means a commission |
|
or council of governments created under Chapter 391, Local |
|
Government Code, for a designated region. |
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 772, Health and Safety Code, is amended |
|
by amending Section 772.610 to read as follows: |
|
Sec. 772.610. AUDIT AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS. |
|
(4) A district who receives state funds shall have a |
|
disaster plan in place on the occasion that a natural disaster |
|
occurs. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
