Anthony Kimble |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |
|
|
memories of U.S. Army Sergeant Anthony T. Kimble, who died on |
|
|
February 12, 2021, at the age of 32; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Anthony Kimble was born in St. Louis, Missouri, |
|
|
on September 10, 1988, to Anthony Kimble and Gloria Baker, and he |
|
|
grew up with three siblings, Amanda, Shamar, and Sharron; after |
|
|
graduating from Beaumont High School in 2008, he enlisted in the |
|
|
army, and over the course of the next 13 years, he served with the |
|
|
National Guard in Japan, Germany, China, North Carolina, |
|
|
Missouri, and Texas, earning many commendations as well as the |
|
|
respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers; he was most |
|
|
recently assigned to Fort Bliss in El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A lively, good-humored, and generous man, |
|
|
Sergeant Kimble was an inspirational presence in the lives of |
|
|
everyone he met; he was the author of three books, including |
|
|
Kimble Psalms: Prayer of a Psalmist, and he was the founder of a |
|
|
suicide awareness and prevention program called the Kimble |
|
|
Psalms Project and Art Productions, for which he produced |
|
|
illustrations and portraits of people he met through his work; he |
|
|
also promoted awareness through his YouTube channel; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Anthony Kimble was a devoted son, brother, uncle, |
|
|
nephew, and friend, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion |
|
|
and concern for others that will continue to illuminate the |
|
|
hearts of all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|
|
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sergeant Anthony |
|
|
T. Kimble and extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many |
|
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns |
|
|
this day, it do so in memory of Anthony T. Kimble. |
