SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 175
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Eva Brown
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their
  memories of Eva Elizabeth Hall Brown of Longview, who passed away
  on January 11, 2021, at the age of 103; and
         WHEREAS, The former Eva Hall was born to Charles Walter
  Hall and Florence Ethel Caviness Hall in Lamar County on April 6,
  1917; at the age of 19, she fell in love at first sight with
  William Edward Brown; the couple were soon married and shared a
  rewarding union that spanned 68 years until his passing in 2004;
  Mrs. Brown took great pride in her five children, Patsy, Eddy,
  Sue, Bill, and Judy, and with the passing years, she had the
  pleasure of seeing her family grow to include 22 grandchildren,
  34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Brown skillfully balanced family life with
  her work as a professional seamstress; a woman of deep faith, she
  was a valued congregant of East Mountain Baptist Church and a
  former member of Macedonia Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Eva Brown led a life of caring devotion to her
  loved ones, and although she is deeply missed, her spirit will
  forever live in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eva Elizabeth
  Hall Brown and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her
  passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
  Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eva Brown.
