SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 302

WHEREAS, Leif Clayton Inocian of Sherman was selected to serve as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, which took place on March 20 and 21, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Sponsored by the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, the Congress of Future Medical Leaders invites high-achieving high school students from across the country to meet with luminaries of the medical field, including Nobel laureates, researchers, and deans of top medical schools; the program seeks to motivate these young scholars and to provide them with guidance on pursuing careers in medicine or medical research; and

WHEREAS, A freshman at Sherman High School, Leif Inocian was nominated for the program based on his notable record of academic achievement as well as his desire to enter the medical profession; and

WHEREAS, Talented students such as Leif Inocian represent the innovators of tomorrow, and the commitment to excellence that he has demonstrated is certain to open the way to a bright and promising future for this fine young Texan; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th Legislature, hereby congratulate Leif Clayton Inocian on his selection as a delegate to the 2021 Congress of Future Medical Leaders and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Mr. Inocian as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
