Brookshire Pipes McVean |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Brookshire Pipes "Brooks" McVean, who |
|
died February 2, 2021, at the age of 13; and |
|
WHEREAS, A cheerful young man with a vibrant spirit, Brooks |
|
McVean brought joy into the lives of his many friends and loved |
|
ones through his easy laughter, his contagious smile, and his |
|
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and |
|
WHEREAS, Brooks McVean was born to Jon Jeffrey McVean and |
|
Amanda Carter McVean on May 1, 2007, in San Antonio; he and his |
|
parents and his older brother, Carter Houston McVean, moved to |
|
Brenham in 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Brooks was an eighth-grade student at Brenham |
|
Junior High School; he enjoyed participating in the Brenham |
|
Maifest and Brenham Cub Football, and he was a member of the |
|
National Junior Honor Society; he also enjoyed serving as an |
|
acolyte at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Brooks loved music and could often be found |
|
breaking out with a dance move; he had a passion for football and |
|
was a die-hard fan of the Louisiana State University Tigers, and |
|
he was ecstatic when the Tigers enjoyed a perfect 2019-2020 |
|
season; he cherished time spent with family, and his delightful |
|
sense of humor made family vacations and adventures all the more |
|
memorable; and |
|
WHEREAS, Brooks was a beloved member of the Brenham |
|
community, and his courage in the face of his illness, Nephrotic |
|
Syndrome, was an inspiration to others; he will be missed by |
|
many, yet his unique spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all |
|
who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Brookshire Pipes "Brooks" McVean; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Brooks McVean. |
