Alyssa Marie Broderick |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Alyssa Marie Broderick, who died |
|
tragically on April 18, 2021, at the age of just 17; and |
|
WHEREAS, Alyssa Broderick was an exceptional young woman |
|
whose enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest was an |
|
inspiration to all who were privileged to share in her life; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on December 16, 2003, in Waco, Alyssa was a |
|
former student at Elgin High School, where she was a member of the |
|
girls' basketball team; an excellent student, she was a |
|
participant in the Elgin Independent School District Early |
|
College High School program; and |
|
WHEREAS, Alyssa was known for her determination and |
|
attention to detail in her studies; she had a radiant smile that |
|
brightened every room she entered, and the respect she showed for |
|
others was a reflection of her strength of character and her |
|
generous spirit; and |
|
WHEREAS, She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and |
|
friend, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured |
|
forever by her family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Alyssa Marie Broderick; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Alyssa Broderick. |
