SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 467
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Westlake High School boys' golf team, which won the
  2021 University Interscholastic League Class 6A state
  championship; and
         WHEREAS, The Chaparrals won the golf program's seventh
  state championship in dominating fashion with a two-day total
  score of 568; the team defeated the second place finisher by 18
  strokes at Legacy Hills Golf Club in Georgetown to claim the
  fourth consecutive state title for the team; and
         WHEREAS, These young athletes have demonstrated great
  talent and perseverance over the course of the school year, and
  they can take pride in their outstanding performance; team
  members are Jacob Sosa, Sean-Karl Dobson, Zach Kingsland, J.
  Holland Humphries, and Kellan McGinnis; and
         WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership of head coach
  Callan Nokes and assistant coach Lane Grigg, the Chaparrals have
  developed exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
         WHEREAS, Winning a state championship is a daunting task
  that requires countless hours of hard work and an unwavering
  commitment to excellence; Westlake High School and the Westlake
  community are justifiably proud of the Chaparrals for their
  impressive skills and fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, hereby commend the Westlake High School boys' golf
  team members, coaches, and staff on their successful season and
  extend congratulations to the team on winning the 2021 Class 6A
  state championship title; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
