SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 482
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Gaynael Grigsby
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Colonel (Ret.) Gaynael Ray Grigsby of Tyler on May 4,
  2021, at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Linden on April 5, 1936, Gaynael Grigsby
  was the son of Charlie and Muriel Ray Grigsby, and he grew up with
  the companionship of his four siblings, Monte, Terry, Sandra, and
  Gail; he graduated from Texas A&M University, where he was a
  member of the Corps of Cadets and the Ross Volunteers
  Association, and he went on to enjoy a successful career as a
  structural engineer that spanned more than four decades; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Grigsby benefited from
  the love and support of his wife, Verdean, with whom he shared a
  rewarding union of 63 years; he took great pride in their four
  children, Stanley, Randell, Stephen, and Molly, and with the
  passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to
  include seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a man
  of faith, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Tyler; and
         WHEREAS, A proud military veteran and devoted family man,
  Gaynael Grigsby will be deeply missed, and those who held him
  dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness he brought
  into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Colonel (Ret.)
  Gaynael Ray Grigsby and extend sincere condolences to the members
  of his family: to his wife, Verdean; to his children, Stanley and
  his wife, Connie, Randell, Stephen, and Molly and her husband,
  Jonathan; to his grandchildren, Trevor, Daniel, Colin, Zach,
  Jacob, Luke, and Lucy; to his great-grandchildren, Skarlett and
  Archer; to his sister, Gail; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Gaynael Grigsby.
