No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the extreme weather emergency preparedness of facilities for providing electric service could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The Public Utility Commission anticipates that this bill will have a local government impact. Any municipally owned utility in the ERCOT region would be required to weatherize power generating facilities and transmission and distribution facilities to meet the requirements of the bill.
