IN RE:
HB187 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to the consideration of a subsequent writ of habeas corpus in certain felony cases.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to expand the circumstances under which a court may consider a subsequent application for a writ of habeas corpus in certain felony cases after final disposition of an initial application.

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
