No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize certain emergency services districts to provide preventative health care services; contract with the state or local government to provide the services; and charge a reasonable fee for performing the services. It is assumed that any activities relating to the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The City of Houston anticipates no fiscal implication to the city. To the extent emergency services districts could collect fees pursuant to this bill, there could be a positive effect on the revenue of units of local government.
