No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require notice of an animal's exposure or possible exposure in an animal shelter to certain infectious diseases.

According to the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. 

Local Government Impact

According to DSHS, units of local government may experience a negative fiscal impact from implementing the bill, but that impact cannot be determined based on available information.

Burleson County does not anticipate a significant fiscal implication. No other responses from units of local government were received.
