HB675 by Ramos (Relating to the participation of armed forces members in a marriage ceremony through video conference technology.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code and the Government Code to permit a member of the armed forces to participate in a marriage ceremony via proxy or videoconferencing supported by a signed affidavit and to authorize a justice of the peace to provide certain specified videoconference technology for the ceremony.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant impact to the state court system is anticipated.
