LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 4, 2021

TO:
Honorable James B. Frank, Chair, House Committee on Human Services

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB705 by Moody (Relating to the provision of recovery community organization peer-to-peer services under Medicaid.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to adopt rules to provide Medicaid reimbursement for peer-to-peer services provided by recovery community organizations. Additionally, HHSC would be required to establish a work group to provide input regarding the rules.

This analysis assumes there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill that could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
