No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to prescribe a manner in which medical certifiers would provide written notification to the next of kin of a modification to the medical certification information on certain death certificates. DSHS indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within current resources.
