The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit municipalities from requiring landlords to obtain a rental license, pay a change of address fee, or pay total annual inspection fees over certain limits.
Local Government Impact
The City of Plano anticipates a negative fiscal impact to the city of over $350,000. The bill would have an indeterminate impact on other units of local government.
