The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to add immunity from civil liability for a person who enters a motor vehicle for the purpose of removing a domestic animal in certain circumstances. The bill would not provide immunity if law enforcement personnel advised the person not to enter the motor vehicle.
Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
