FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB788 by Geren (Relating to the eligibility of emergency service dispatchers to participate in a public safety employees treatment court program.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code by adding emergency service dispatcher to the definition of public safety employee eligible for participation in the public safety employee treatment court program.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
Local Government Impact
The Texas Association of Counties does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to counties.
