No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend two provisions in the Family Code related to modifying maintenance orders. Under the provisions of the bill, a party that files a motion to modify maintenance based on a material and substantial change of circumstances may not be considered on that basis alone to have admitted a material and substantial change of circumstances regarding any other matter.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
