HB853 by Cook (Relating to possession of and access to a child less than three years of age.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to expand the factors a court must consider in rendering an order for possession of a child less than three years old. The bill would also permit a court to render an order for periods of possession of a child less than three years of age based on the agreement of the parties if the agreement is in the best interest of the child.
According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
