LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION
March 25, 2021
TO:
Honorable James White, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1094 by Oliverson (Relating to authorizing certain persons to carry a handgun without a license.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to authorizing certain persons to carry a handgun without a license could be absorbed using existing resources.
This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
