HB1264 by Bell, Keith (relating to the time for making required reports of deceased residents of this state to a voter registrar and to the secretary of state.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amends the Texas Election Code related to the deadline for the local registrar of deaths to deliver abstracts of death certificates to the voter registrar and to the Secretary of State.  The bill would also change the timeline for clerks of court with probate jurisdiction to submit abstracts of certain probate documents to the voter registrar and to the Secretary of State.

According to the Secretary of State, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to the election administrators in Cameron, Taylor and Tarrant counties, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
