No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Estates Code to require a party who brings a lawsuit to contest or construe a will to serve process on an institution of higher education, a private institution of higher education, or a charitable organization that is a necessary party to the lawsuit.
Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
