No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Human Resources Code to update minimum standards to allow firearms and ammunition to be stored together in the same locked location.
Based on analysis of the Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of Family and Protective Services, it is assumed that the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
