No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to provide that a photograph or x-ray of a body taken during an autopsy may be disclosed to the next of kin or legal representative of the deceased, subject to the discretionary exception under Government Code Chapter 552. It is assumed that any related costs could be absorbed using existing resources.
