HB1681 by Harless (Relating to the construction of certain assisted living facilities located within a floodplain in certain counties and to a seller's disclosure of the location of certain real property within a floodplain.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Health and Safety Code Chapter 247 to require the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission to adopt rules prohibiting the construction of an assisted living facility within a 100-year floodplain in certain circumstances.

The Health and Human Services Commission indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
