No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize certain development regulations in Fort Bend County near the Brazos River and to create an offense for the violation of those regulations.

Local Government Impact

An offense under the bill is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $500 or more than $1,000. Revenue gain from fines imposed and collected is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal implication. Any other fiscal implications cannot be determined at this time.
