HB1728 by Smithee (Relating to partnerships between the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and nonprofit entities to promote hunting and fishing by certain veterans.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to allow the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) to partner with one or more non-profit organizations which serve veterans for the purpose of promoting hunting and fishing among veterans. 

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2021.

Based on information provided by TPWD, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
