IN RE:	HB1800 by Lopez (Relating to a study to evaluate the effectiveness of community collaboratives in addressing the exploitation of elderly persons in this state.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would direct the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to conduct a study on the effectiveness of community collaboratives, including multidisciplinary teams, in addressing the exploitation of elderly persons. DFPS would be required to submit the results of the study and recommendations to the legislature and the Act would expire September 1, 2023. 

Based on analysis of DFPS, it is the assumed that the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
