No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to allow an associate judge, in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship, to render and sign a final order agreed to in writing by all parties. Under current law, an associate judge may render and sign a final order agreed to in writing as to both form and substance by all parties.
Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill. In addition, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated due to implementing the provisions of the bill.
