IN RE:
HB1938 by Jetton (Relating to a grant program for law enforcement agencies to defray the cost of data storage for recordings created with body worn cameras.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish a grant program administered by the Office of the Governor to law enforcement agencies to defray the cost of data storage for recordings created with body worn cameras.
According to the Office of the Governor and the Department of Public Safety, any additional work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
