No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code, Section 503.001(e) relating to the applicability of certain limitations on the capture and use of biometric identifiers to financial institutions. The bill would narrow the Office of the Attorney General's authority by exempting financial institutions from this chapter.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, it is anticipated that any work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
