No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to reduce liability for certified and insured prescribed burn managers under circumstances defined in the bill and prevents state agencies from taking disciplinary action against such prescribed burn managers for prescribed burns that result in an emission or nuisance. 

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Agriculture and the Office of Court Administration, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.  In addition, no significant impact to the state court system is anticipated due to the implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
