No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require political subdivisions to provide paid quarantine leave to fire fighters, peace officers, and emergency medical technicians who may have been exposed to a communicable disease while on duty.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the fiscal implications of the bill to counties cannot be determined at this time but could be significant.
