No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require binding interest arbitration for certain municipal fire departments, their employee bargaining agents, and public employers under certain collective bargaining circumstances. 

Local Government Impact

The City of Houston anticipates a significant fiscal impact of at least $45 million.
